Study Title:Instructional Designers' Experiences with Faculty Subject Matter Experts in Online Higher Education Course Development Projects
I am conducting a research study which will focus on the experiences of instructional designers who work with faculty subject matter experts to produce online courses for higher education institutions as well as the instructional designers' beliefs about these experiences. In addition, this research study will outline successful strategies that instructional designers use when working with faculty subject matter experts to ensure that course development projects result in the creation of a high-quality, engaging, and informative fully online higher education course. I am currently seeking participants who would be willing to participate in this research study.
To qualify as a participant in the study, you must:
• Be an instructional designer who works with faculty subject matter experts to design fully online higher education courses
• Have worked in the field of fully online higher education for at least two years
• Have worked with a faculty subject matter expert on a course development project at least five times
• Have used successful strategies when working with faculty subject matter experts to develop online course development projects
As a participant in this research study, you will be asked to submit for an interview with the researcher. This interview will be conducted at a time that is convenient for you via telephone, Skype, Adobe Connect, or in a public library setting, if you live within the researcher's local area.
If you believe that you may wish to be a part of this research study, please grant the below Member Consent and then complete the screening survey I have created for the study. Once you have met the criteria for participation, you will be sent an informed consent letter to sign and return to me. At that time, I will reach out to you with further details.
